2015 Ferrari 488 GTB

The new era of Ferrari with the turbos, the return to overfeeding, came from the hand of California T. Now it is the Ferrari 458 which stays on one side to make way for the latest creation of design directed by Flavio Manzoni team.

The main change of V8 mid-engine sports car is the renewal of the engine, which happens to be a four-liter supercharged by two turbochargers, will deliver 670 HP. Do you remember how many horses had the Enzo Ferrari? Yes, 660... How to change the time, right?

The motor requires less fuel to operate, but more cooling. Therefore the sides win new right air intakes on the hips. They are really worst photo I live, where they work best. Flap which is located in the middle of them serves to prevent mechanical parts is seeing from the upper level, something that goes against the type approval regulations.

Aerodynamically the 488 GTB means another step forward with respect to its direct predecessor, gaining a lot of active elements for work without spoiler obtaining more load anything aerodynamic. Thus, there is place for active baffles in the diffuser and the front part of the vehicle, while the rear spoiler is fixed.

Driving aid also improve. SSC2 system we highlight all of them. Its first version, the SSC "to dry" premiered at the 458 Speciale, and was a combination of stability control and the work of the self-locking differential allowing to do controlled skids as if you were Gilles Villeneuve.

The SSC2 adds to this "controlled drift" mode electronic arsenal the buffer management. In this way it softens or restricts the passage of the valves of the shock absorbers to adjust back to a certain angle of drift. Come on, you can make a crusade of 35 degrees with one hand, and the car will be responsible to maintain the attitude of the car without kinking of more, or you spit in the correction.

Magic? No, technology. And technology that impressed us already, and much in the 458 Speciale. So we hope more of this 488 GTB.
